such a good game. i haven't been able to put it down since i started playing. very cozy and relaxing. can be slower paced than other farming sims mainly because you don't make 'money' but rather earn contributions and barter with items. i also love being able to tame animals and have pets/mounts. can't wait to see what the devs continue to add!

The barter system sure is something, you have no idea about what anything costs, you don't know if different NPCs value your stuff differently, you don't know if vouchers are more efficient than regular trading, you don't know what you should grow or if growing crops is even worth it, you don't know if cooking nets a profit or not...

The combat is really bad, the worst of any farming game I played that included it. And this game has actual bosses. The devs' solution ? An invincibility toggle. The alternative, the dash, is mapped to space so both picking a direction and activating it is done with your left hand while right-click is as far as I know UNUSED in combat. Most enemies have a dash attack so you usually hit them once after they miss and repeat, it gets stale in about 15 minutes. Just get them stuck on a rock instead (enemies lack any pathfinding). And you better get a damn spear to poke bosses from afar, they have contact damage.

There is a pretty severe lack of polish overall, a common animation like fishing looks really jank from the side for example and the second boss' healing move is essentially a green square over the boss, you can see where the texture ends because the color occupies the whole thing, hence the square. Some NPCs' portraits look way better than others, the worse ones tend to only have very faded colors so everything kind of blends together. Being generous and donating many items to the community doesn't cause anyone to like more for some reason, so you MUST suffer through repeated dialogue lines.

This game has an actual story and it mostly takes place in the mines, since I wanted better tools ASAP I ended up "beating the game" and saving the village despite knowing no one in it (everyone is at 0 friendship, with like 2 dudes near the mines nearing 1 heart). Guess saving the world is trivial compared to getting a single villager to say a new line.

I was excited for the game in the beginning, but it turned out to be too easy! Like, I could have went searching for the materials to repair the shrines myself and enjoy the fulfilment of finding them after hard work, but I only had to speak to the villagers? they didn't even ask for anything in return! That was really annoying. Same things with beach pearls, combat, and even upgrading my house! I wished I had to wait a couple of days at least to get it done, but it just upgrade instantly like magic? That really kills the vibes. I hope you will consider adding more challenge to the game, because it really has potential.
