you think it is popular but its is absolutly not popular at all
That!’s a lot for something that’s not a game, don’t you think?
if there is 98k wallpaper engine user less then 2% of those would be linux user/steamdeck that is not worth it for the dev to put time and effort to develp 2-3 linux port and maintain them up to date , it would not generate enought money
https://help.wallpaperengine.io/en/functionality/linuxmacos.html
if by some miracle the total linux user jump to 50% and windows loses 50% them it might be worth it
https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/
but for now
Windows is the OS of 96+% of the steam 40 millions users that mean only about 1m linux user , but how many would realy be interested in wallpaper engine ? I would say 1% bucause that is about the % of windows user that bought wallpaper engine that is a big 10 000 user that might buy wallpaper engine for linux
so if you realy want it I suggest you to install windows on your steam deck or mod it so it can run it . it is possible but with limitation
the % of gamer on linux and IOS is extremly low on steam. and it does not seem to be changing at all
