That said, the only way I am aware of you can get around Steam Workshop issues like that is to use the "Unsubscribe From All" functionality of Steam to clear your complete Workshop list. This will remove all your subscriptions but likely fix your issue. Go to the Wallpaper Engine Workshop while logged in, then hover over "Your files" and select "Subscribed Items". Then click on "Unsubscribe From All":
https://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/workshop/
Afterwards restart Steam and the issue should hopefully go away.
I realize this is really annoying though, especially if you have a large number of subscribed wallpapers. The best you can do is to create a Workshop collection here:
https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=431960&browsesort=trend§ion=collections
Then add all your subscribed wallpapers to the collection before unsubscribing. After restarting Steam and checking that the problem is gone, you can resubscribe to them again.
While adding items to my collection, I could find the given wallpaper from the list of subscribed items. Then I managed to unsubscribe from the Worskhop Items page. No need to unsub from all of them. Thank you a lot for the help.
