Starting with iCUE 4, you need to manually enable software control in the iCUE settings first, otherwise Wallpaper Engine cannot connect to iCUE. If you have any issues with RGB lighting in combination with Corsair iCUE, make sure to check the iCUE settings first.
1. Open iCUE.
2. Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner.
3. Click Software and Games on the left menu of the settings window.
4. Make sure that the software integrations options are enabled. Check the Devices tab to make sure all your hardware devices are also enabled for this type of RGB lighting.
I don't see a software and games tab anywhere. I can go an install Icue 4 though and try it with that.
I have checked that everything is enabled in Icue do you have any other suggestions?
Start with Wallpaper Engine first, uninstall it via Steam, then manually delete the remaining wallpaper_engine directory, by default it's located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine
Afterwards, uninstall Corsair iCUE and all Corsair software to fully wipe it from your disk. Then restart your computer. Now reinstall iCUE, restart your computer once again and then restart Wallpaper Engine.
