Wallpaper Engine will attempt to take the window created by the application before it appears and set it up as a wallpaper. Should the program have code though to make the window come back from the background then Wallpaper Engine won't fight that since that can lead to problematic situations.
If the program doesn't open a simple window but instead it's more complicated like using multiple windows then it likely won't work either. It's not really possible to build special exceptions for every program.
Electric sheep uses multiple windows and it's not possible to just open it in a simple window without opening the configuration screen as far as I can see, or am I missing something?
