Starting with iCUE 4, you need to manually enable software control in the iCUE settings first, otherwise Wallpaper Engine cannot connect to iCUE. If you have any issues with RGB lighting in combination with Corsair iCUE, make sure to check the iCUE settings first.

Open iCUE.
Click the Settings icon in the upper right corner.
Click Software and Games on the left menu of the settings window.
Make sure that the software integrations options are enabled. Check the Devices tab to make sure all your hardware devices are also enabled for this type of RGB lighting.

If you still have issues with your Corsair lighting setup, try a full reinstallation of your Corsair iCUE software, then restart your computer and reinstall. Many issues can be resolved by reinstalling the Corsair software suite, followed by manually enabling the software integration options.

Still having issues with this. the rgb data isn't being sent from wallpaper engine to icue properly. I've done many reinstalls of both icue and wallpaper engine.

Walpaper engine works fine with razer synapse but not icue.

I currently have icue, razer synapse, nanoleaf desktop, and wallpaper engine running.

Since the Chroma SDK is working correctly, please check in the plugin settings of Wallpaper Engine if iCUE is enabled. There are two checkboxes for both iCUE and Chroma in the settings of the "led plugin".

If this is not the reason, then something must be up with iCUE, since the LED colors are correctly sent to the Chroma SDK like you said.

Have you found the integration options in iCUE and enabled them and restarted? Does iCUE show Wallpaper Engine now in that list?

Hello, yes both ICUE and Chroma are checked in wallpaper engine and everything looks good on ICUE's side.

Under settings>software and games> enable software integrations and enable game integrations are enabled. I see both wallpaper32.exe and streamdeck.exe there.

When i choose a wallpaper in wallpaper engine the access in ICUE for wallpaper engine changes from shared to exclusive and instead of rgb data transferring to ICUE, it shuts off all of the lighting.

Thank you for the help.

Okay thanks. It uses the same LED information for both Chroma and iCUE and the Chroma LEDs seem to be correct like you said, so this is a pretty sure indication that the problem is indeed with iCUE. Since the devices turn off, Wallpaper Engine seems to be connected and iCUE seems to recognize it, but it's not setting the LEDs correctly then.

Can you please disable all other external plugins and other programs and restart everything again? I.e. if you have any GPU or RAM plugins in iCUE try to disable them and also try to disable streamdeck in the integration list.

Of course this is not a solution, but if the source of the issue can be found, this could be posted on Corsairs forums and they can look into it more effectively.

Tried everything you listed, streamdeck = gone, i made sure plug ins were off, most if not all of my background apps were turned off and restarted both icue and wallpaper engine. Still the same issue.

Still have no clue on what is causing the problem. It's been like this for months now.

Was it perhaps working with iCUE 3 before and the issue started to occur with iCUE 4?
Shio Oct 22, 2021 @ 12:50pm
Yes this is exactly the case. I would go back to 3, but many of my current devices are only supported on 4.

So on your system iCUE 4 made the integration not work at all suddenly? We are also using iCUE 4 and know from others that it's working, so it can't be a general/fundamental bug in iCUE 4 but likely related to a combination of things, maybe only affecting your specific combination of devices or something.

In general Wallpaper Engine doesn't make any difference about what iCUE version is installed and doesn't know about this. We are also still using the latest SDK, they haven't released any updates to it that we are missing.

If iCUE 4 causes this problem so reproducibly for you, I think your best bet is to contact Corsair directly i.e. over the forums: https://forum.corsair.com/forums/forum/155-icue-software/ they have helped often in the past. Make sure to explain that iCUE 4 has started to cause this issue and let them know what you have tried, perhaps also let them know which exact Corsair peripherals you are using.
