If Apple ever adds support for this they will look into it.
Sorry to necromance this but this app already exists for more than 2 years. Are you guys sure you can’t convert the wallpapers from wallpaper engine to work with IOS?
1. They are limited to a small number of frames (which means they are very short)
2. They are not live-calculated wallpapers like what you can find on Wallpaper Engine. Wallpaper Engine is more like a video game engine that dynamically calculates the wallpaper which is how you can get dynamic elements in them
3. Apple's "Live Photos" are not documented at all and it's nearly impossible to generate them through Windows. So we would have to reverse-engineer them and all of this to generate short loops of wallpapers that last a few seconds instead. It would be an insane amount of work and the result would be utterly disappointing at best.
