Wallpaper disappears when inserting a USB Drive!

I use the latest version of Windows 11, and I'm not sure when the issue started (+/- 1 month), but when I insert a USB drive and the notification appears on the side of Windows, the wallpaper reverts to the default briefly, and I haven't figured out what could be causing it.

Windows Version: 10.0.22621 Build 22621.

Bug when connecting USB devices

When I connect a USB device to my computer Wallpaper engine reverts to my windows wallpaper and then back again. The same is true for when the device is disconnected. This has been happening since the latest update. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Yup. Thought it may have been something with my USB port on my keyboard. Just used my case USB port and same thing. Wallpaper turns off.

The exact same thing is happening to me. Actually, it also happen when I click the new Copilot feature on Windows 11. Hope they fix it soon

Insert a USB drive "restarts" the desktop window with the latest Windows 11 update. It's basically caused by a silly change on Microsoft's end. We cannot fix it because, Windows 11 is restarting Wallpaper Engine when you plug in a USB device and there is nothing that can be done to stop it from doing that. Microsoft would need to change this behavior as far as we can tell.
