Damn bro, this looks like the missing puzzle piece that we have been missing, I could kiss you
I updated to 2.3.
26. The Windows version is 23H2 22631.2338, but there is still only music but no picture, and I have to turn HDR on again to get the effect.
Wait, is that the issue? Disabling the desktop icons is what caused this bug?
23H2 is currently not supported by us since it is still undergoing changes by Microsoft. If you would like to use Wallpaper Engine, please switch back to a stable release of Windows.
Yes, Microsoft changed some behavior under the hood which hides Wallpaper Engine when the icons are turned off through that specific functionality. Did this our fix solve the issue on your system or not?
Could you run our analysis tool and send the log file to me while Wallpaper Engine is not visible for you (but running / in a state where it should be working but does not)?

Please include your user name here so that I know who you are, thanks, we will take another look.
It appears to be resolved for me. Thanks for getting around to this so quickly!
Should be working after... Hopefully
The latest (non-beta) version of Wallpaper Engine is now working with 22H2 22621.2361. I don't know if you care to upgrade or not, but they fixed the 22H2 issue that occurred due to this update. They still haven't fixed the issues in 23H2 as that isn't a stable/public release yet.
