Importing a wallpaper library and have it auto update the folder in Wallpaper Engine?
Hi Guys,

is it possible to Import a wallpaper library from your own PC and have it auto update the folder in Wallpaper Engine?

I've looked everywhere to do this, maybe there is a plugin that I'm missing?

I want to use my own personal photos in the wallpaper engine program and have it update when i add more to the original folders stored on my PC.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
TomChile

You can use this wallpaper from the Workshop which allows you to set a folder as an image source, I think that's what you are looking for:

Alright that's a good start, Thanks

Ideally What I would want is for the wallpaper engine to have multiple different folders that are dynamically updated when I add a new image in it. So say the first Folder is "2013" and the second folder is "2014". If I could I would have wallpaper engine auto update these folders when I add a new photo to my computer in the "2013" folder in explorer.

I then would want to be able to select pictures that I would want in each the folder to be used as wallpapers in a slide.

Wallpaper Engine almost does this but doesn't Dynamically update the folder when a new image is added to the "2013" folder.

Hopefully that makes more sense and thanks for reading this.
Cheers and thanks again!

The combination of "automatically load all pictures in a folder" and picking a subset of those pictures is not possible with Wallpaper Engine to the full extent that you want. You can either use a slideshow wallpaper as the one linked above or you can manually load the static images into the app and then create playlists with them (at the bottom of the "Installed" tab).

The latter option is pretty close to your use-case except for the "automatically loading new photos into the app" part, you would always have to hand-pick your desired wallpapers beforehand and drag and drop them into the app (you can use multi-select though so it's not a huge hassle).
