100% the #1 go to is Wallpaper Engine. You have yourself an amazing day friend!
I've been spreading the word of it in real life among other things especially to my family! Trying to get them to start using it too, even if one day I have to help them set it up!
Good software, horrible disclaimer about the default content included
I think you never had any of those issues to be honest, unless you have a third youtube channel. (I make video while using the editor of wallpaper engine and I didn't get a single strike).
1st Channel .here's the video where your setup is shown (as a proof that it's you), 2nd Channel.
If you really did get one of your account suspended it's not because of wallpaper engine, you probably published something that wasn't supposed to be on the platform.
1. I have no reason to lie
2. My channel was terminated as a result of the strikes, since I did appeal it and I lost the appeal and the channel was terminated. The channel you link is a channel I created after I lost my partnership but then gave up on, since I didnt have the drive to rebuild my channel again
Here is where I asked about a refund when it happened, back in 2019

The youtube channel you refer to, I was never partnered on. I had 2 emails, 1 for youtube and social media and one for personal stuff, that I posted different stuff to, but after my partnership was removed, I never had the desire to rebuild my channel back. The channel you see was just a personal youtube. The 2nd channel you list, I created literally a month ago, as I was considering trying to do the channel again, but decided it wasnt worth the hassle.
I have nothing against this software, but they dont make it clear, that they use copyrighted content, and if you do a search,, others have had issues with it.
The dev is a nice guy, the software is amazing, (for the time I used it) but if you are a content creator, this will potentially cause you issues.

I cant even go back and download any videos I would like to save, because I lost 3 appeals to them youtube took my entire channel down.
So no offense, you are free to call me a liar all you like. Bottom line is, I was copyright striked, and lost 3 appeals which violated Youtube's 3 strike policy back in 2019.
Not hating on this software at all. Merely warning fellow creators to use it with care, so none experience my misfortune.
Sorry for any derailing of the topic
Thanks for the reply. I spoke to you a few years ago about it, and you said to counter it. I did, my channel was lost. Just wanted to warn ppl to use with care.
This is the post right?
Maybe you didn't get what both Tim and I said.
What's "licensed and fully self-created" it's the SOFTWARE but NOT the contents that people publish in it.
In that discussion you clearly stated that you got a copyright strike because of a "Zombie background" which is NOT something that comes with Wallpaper engine, it's something that you subscribed from the workshop and it has been uploaded by a random user.
If i'm wrong and you think that I got this wrong just come out of your way and tell me that.
I'm not going up against you by the way, it's just that, if it's like i'm saying, you are wasting your time over something that the DE can't fix because they have no control over it.
You're absolutely right about how great this app is. I loved tooling around with Widgets, Dreamscapes, Rain Meter and basically everything from Stardock. It's so wonderful to have a safe program like this to liven up my desktop.

The company submitted a bunch of copyright notices to Steam after they handled your case, that is why you cannot find these wallpapers in your subscriptions anymore - they were banned from Steam because they rightfully took action to get their content removed from the Workshop.
Anyway, you can continue with this discussion if you like but please create your own thread. Again, the issue you had is unfortunate, but it's a very specific case that happened 4 years ago and there has not been anything similar since then.
My sincere apologies, ty for the update and I met no disrespect and Ill not mention the issue again. It is nice to know what had happened, and ty for being a transparent developer.
