Wallpaper engine is running on your Laptop and when you close the lid your laptop goes into Sleep mode by default and that could be the reason why it doesn't work

The "display asleep" playback option is the only one that could be related to this by design. If you set that to 'keep running' then the program is likely not stopping on purpose.

What if you change the wallpaper with the lid closed? Maybe your laptop changes the monitor identification completely and the program would recognize it as a new monitor.

Why when I turn off and turn on the computer, the walpeper stops working and you can turn it on only with wifi. Previously, this was not so why?

The program doesn't require WiFi. You probably just need to reset the auto start on your PC because something disabled it. Turn it off and on in the settings.

Please make a new thread if this does not solve it because it is unrelated to this thread.

I know I'm super late to this thread, but I wanted to add this in case anyone in the future had the same problem. These solutions didn't work for me personally, but when I selected "Layout" for monitor identification, it all worked
