Lowers Fps during some games and keeps low fps after closing games.
I have a second monitor running off my gpu that also has a live background. I have my settings set to "pause per monitor" on each of the settings and everything works fine in other games and programs. I am playing the game in one monitor, and the wallpaper is still going just fine in the other monitor. But in some games like doom eternal and ark, the fps of both the game and wallpaper drops to around 10, and doesn't go away until around 5 seconds after the gamne is closed. I have a gtx 960 that gives me 40-70 fps normally, and I was hoping omseone had a way to fix this, or at least experienced this before.

You can just type the exact name of the .exe of the Steam game into the application list field. Unfortunately I don't own Doom or Ark, so I can't quickly check what .exe names they run. But try this:

1. Start Doom / Ark / Another game you are having a problem with.
2. Minimize the game.
3. Open the Wallpaper Engine settings, create a new application rule. You will now find the game .exe somewhere in the application rule list (it only shows running apps). Select it and set the application rule to "Stop (free memory)".

Try setting up an application rule for games and apps that you are having performance issues with and configure Wallpaper Engine to "Stop" while they are active:

https://help.wallpaperengine.io/en/functionality/applicationrules.html

Usually it's not necessary to do this but if your system runs into a hard bottleneck (especially video RAM), it may be necessary to do this.

how would I do this with a steam game? They do not show up in the list of apps.
