Afterwards restart the app via Steam, you should see the updater run again.
Hey, thanks for your answer!
This is the exact wallpaper i'm refering for.
I've also noticed some others using the monstercat plugin aren't loading on my screen.
i verified integrity without any success, tried to downgrade to a previous version available on steam and i got black screen on the wallpaper selection window.
When i try to load that one, it doesn't.
It freezes on the previous wallpaper i've put on, and that's all.
When i try to open in a pop-up windows, there's no problem at all except ReShade 5.1.0 top pop-up appears and wont go. reshade only appears when i open a WP with a visualizer.
Please disable ReShade injection if that's possible. It could very well be that an injected DLL causes all these problems. You should configure it so that it's only active in the games that you need, but not *every* application. Alternatively exclude Wallpaper Engines programs in it completely:
Especially the last two are important since those are the ones that you currently have issues with.
The pop up window has a different configuration than the web wallpaper and the wallpaper browser. So it's possible that in one instance ReShade is injecting normally but in the others it's causing the program to fail.
If disabling ReShade in Wallpaper Engine doesn't change anything, please share this log while a wallpaper with the problem is running: https://help.wallpaperengine.io/debug/scantool.html
So not the last update, but the previous one again.
How can i disable reshade on Wallpaper engine? I already tried to delete everything relative to this, but i do not know how i could just disable injection on WE.
Never installed it so i'm a bit lost, thank you
By the way, it seems that any web wallpaper won't work at all, the rest are fine.
Thanks again !
Luckily I can see that there is something that doesn't belong into the installation folder. It's graphics related so it could be from ReShade.
Please follow this guide to fully clean up your installation, this includes manually deleting the entire folder of Wallpaper Engine. Reinstalling over Steam won't be enough, Steam only deletes exactly the files it installed, so any files inserted into the folders by ReShade will just stay there: https://help.wallpaperengine.io/debug/reset.html
(Don't do the Workshop subscription part, only the "Fully Uninstalling Wallpaper Engine" step.)
Many thanks for your time you both, really appreciated! :D
Why you don't reply my issue topic? I sent mail but no one answered
You already got a good answer in your topic and you didn't reply to it that the issue is still occurring after considering these suggestions: https://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/discussions/2/3417683014658357462/ we would have replied something similar, since we are not the developers of Steam and can also only make guesses.
But please don't create support requests through e-mail and the forum at the same time, that's just really confusing for us and it doesn't help.
Please reply in your own topic with some more information:
- How large is the wallpaper you are trying to upload?
- Do you have the same error when you try to upload a simple wallpaper that only contains a basic image?
- Have you tried restarting your whole PC and router to get Steam to reconnect under a different IP?
- Do you have a lot of hidden Workshop submissions in any game or app? Maybe Steam has a limit on how many you can create, but this should not be reached by the ones that I can see on your profile.
- Have you uploaded any videos that are really large? Steam only shows up to 4GB per video, so I cannot tell this by looking at your Steam profile.
