If none of these issues work for you, we suggest you use the backup functionality outlined at the bottom of the page.
The firewall is not enabled for Wallpaper Engine UI / ui32.
The phone and the computer is connected to the same network and im pretty sure that the router is fine.
Now i think this because it worked yesterday after i somehow fixed the problem, i dont know how. After i turned my pc on today, it stopped working again.
I am aware of the backup solution, however i am unable to use that solution because of my phone.
Is there anything i could try?
UPDATE: I restarted my whole firewall settings, and it asked me again to allow acess, I allowed acess for both but it still says that my mobile cant connect, now im starting to question if there is a problem with my phone, are there any know phone connection issues?
After a while of connecting, a screen pops up saying: "The connection could not be established. Make sure Wallpaper Enging is not being blocked on your network, for example by a firewall"
I also disabled my antiviruses, the firewall and everything i could think of, still didnt work
What is the issue with this approach exactly? In theory all it requires is connecting the phone via USB, selecting the file transfer option in the USB notification on Android and copying the wallpapers you exported into the Android /Downloads/ directory.
The network connection is mostly impossible for us to debug since there are so many factors that work on levels completely hidden from the application.
Windows Defender or the Windows firewall are most likely not the issue. The application has a direct Windows firewall integration and should show a warning if Windows reports to it that it doesn't allow access. If you have any other security or firewall software you could temporarily remove it and restart the PC just to verify if the issue must be with that somewhere.
Some routers have a network/wlan "isolation" option which would exactly prevent this connection from happening. I also don't think that it could be such an issue, since you said it worked before and an option like that really shouldn't turn on by itself.
I will try to remove my antivirus and restart my pc, i will post an update
UPDATE: My antivirus is sadly not the problem
but like I said, it's almost impossible for us to analyze issues beyond the application and at this point we have pretty much mentioned everything we know about (so far).
You could also share the files via email or a messenger like Telegram vs. using USB. The files should allow you to instantly open them into the Wallpaper Engine app from i.e. Telegram too.
