Wallpaper Engine

Background pauses when some programs are full screen.
This seems to happen when chrome and spotify are full screened. I assume other programs do this as well. Any ideas on how to fix?

If you do not want wallpapers to Pause when applications are maximized (but not full-screened like games), go to the Performance tab in the Wallpaper Engine settings and set "Other applications maximized" to "Keep running". The performance impact should generally be minimal, so there is no harm in changing that option.

I'm not quite sure if "fix" is the right word here. I can assume it does that to free up RAM. But if you must know, you can turn that stuff off in the options menu.

Thank you!
I was about to make a post about the setting not working right when I realized the 'Pause per monitor' feature doesn't work for cloning a single wallpaper among all monitors. Any monitor having a maximized screen will pause all three. Just an FYI for anyone else having an issue.
I'm considering to buy this live desktop wallpaper software. I ve one more question
Besides pausing on full screen applications like games, is there option to pause while running several application. For example video editing software, games in windowed mode

was curious about this myself so i started digging around in the settings.. ;o)
there is an option to mute/pause/stop the desktop background per program.

ex:
if whatever.exe is <running/focused/maximized/fullscreen/is playing audio> then wallpaper playback <mute/pause/stop>

Yeah, the "Application rules" in the "Performance" tab allows you to configure special rules for any .exe on your computer so that you can set up pretty specific behavior to your liking. If anything is unclear, feel free to ask.
