更新之后nvidia无法修改显示模式，然后显示是wallpaper engine在阻止修改

Hello, my question is my laptop couldn't change the viewing mood into external video card mood in NVIDIA control center automatically when i open some full-screen games (such as DOTA2, and it worked before). And when i open the setting center of NVIDIA it say the wallpaper32.exe blocked the change of the viewing method. And before it didn't have this kinda problem. So I'm just asking if anyone have the similar problem with me and how did them fix it.

My laptop: LENOVO legion Y9000P 2022 (i7-RTX3060)

Thanks for the explanation. My guess is that Nvidia says this because Wallpaper Engine is hardware accelerated. Of course we are not blocking anything, but we need to use the graphics card to display animated graphics.

Do you mean it worked before with an older driver or older Geforce Experience version or what update made it stop working?

It would probably be best to contact Lenovo and Nvidia about it, depending on whether this is an Nvidia or Lenovo feature. Wallpaper Engine definitely does not block anything, it only uses graphics acceleration (DirectX in Windows). But this is required, otherwise Wallpaper Engine can't work.

If you don't want to downgrade the software that updated, you could bind a hotkey to "stop" the wallpapers, then you could quickly unload the wallpaper and reload it later after changing the driver configuration. You can bind a hotkey in the general settings of Wallpaper Engine.

I'm always noticing the update of Geforce Experience and always keep this to the newest version, and i just thought back this kinda problem just happened when i updated the Geforce Experience then the next day it told me this block problem, maybe i will try to downgrade the Geforce Experience and try again today!
