Application blocked from accessing graphics hardware?
Hello. Ive been using wallpaper engine for a few weeks on my old Radeon laptop which overheated to death. Anyways i just got a laptop with Nvidia and whenever the screen turns of due to idle mode whenever i resume the wallpaper app crashes with this message. Is this an nvidia issue? Or some setting which needs to be configured. Any help would be appreciated.

Google suggests it's a Win 10/graphics driver issue. The most common suggestion is to update your graphics card driver.

Allright. Will give it a try

Edit:
My drivers were fine. Turns out the wallpaperui was set to stop whenever the screen turned off so i changed it to sleep. That fixed it.

Could you tell me where the sleep setting is as I'm also having problems with it.

For now I have uninstalled Wallpaper engine and will try your advice later.

The problem I kept encountering is the error notification above as well as my screen flashing black and some times Wallpaper engine displaying a crashed message.

Yes, forgot to mention the black screen. The app was being forced closed due to its settings. Just use my settings and you will be fine.

I found that I had a similar issue after doing some modifications to my computer. I would recommend checking if your PSU is adequate. For me, I had recently overclocked and had increased power. That, paired with a better CPU started causing wallpaper engine to be blocked. This was because when windows detects a glichy component especially a graphics card, it tries to switch it to something it knows will work better. Because the card was set to run faster than it could with the power it had access to, it kept dropping out randomly which caused this error. I fixed it by using afterburner to set my cards power to a lower amount than it was by default. This fixed the whole issue. Of course upgrading the PSU is a better long term solution, but this could be your error
