Wallpaper animation only when audio is playing
Hello I have a question and I couldn't find a solution online. Maybe someone of you can help. Is it possible that the animated wallpaper is only playing whilst the audio is playing. I linked up my audio with a virtual audio cable so I could link the specific audio line (spotify) to wallpaper engine. Now I want that the animation of the wallpaper is only playing whilst my spotify is playing.

Would be nice to get some help.

Greetings P4TSCHE

That's not the problem I have. I worked with the guide and it worked perfectly to set it up. Now I just want that the animated wallpaper starts playing the animation whilst music is playing. That means if the music isn't playing it should not animate the wallpaper.

If you want to create a wallpaper that animates only when music is playing, then you can, but if you want every wallpaper to do that, no, I don't think it's possible.

It would be nice if you could set up the following rule:
If application does not play sound stop the wallpaper.

I bought wallpaper engine yesterday. Unfortunatly I don't really know how I create a wallpaper like the template I have. I could watch a tutorial but I wanted to ask before I do that because it could save time for me.

This is not a built-in function, but you can use the "application rules" to only load a specific wallpaper if Spotify is running and/or playing audio. Select the default wallpaper first that should show if no music is playing. Then add a "load wallpaper" application rule in the settings of Wallpaper Engine for Spotify and then pick the animated wallpaper there.

I did that and it's not working for me.

Thanks, it looks like you picked the "keep running" action, but this is the wrong one. Edit the rule and choose the "load wallpaper" action, then pick the wallpaper you want to load automatically while Spotify is playing audio.

I'm afraid I'm not sure what you mean by that. What it should do now is that it should show the Spotify specific wallpaper while Spotify plays audio and after that, it should show the wallpaper you have selected otherwise, as the default wallpapers.

It looks like you have two monitors, one has a wallpaper assigned to it, one doesn't. So those two should show up when Spotify is not playing music. If that's not what is happening can you please elaborate?

No, both monitors have selected the same wallpaper. My problem is that the particles of the wallpaper are still loading even if spotify isn't playing. I selected the rule "only load when music is playing". Can I send you a screenshot from my wallpaper so you know what I mean?
