Web Wallpapers not installing properly???
Posted this on the subreddit, but I thought I should try here as well.

I have a been using Wallpaper Engine for a while, and i have a few web wallpapers installed already-- those work fine. However, for some reason, trying to install new Web wallpapers is installing nothing but a black background, if it's got a visualizer the visualizer shows up as just a circle and isn't responsive to any audio.

I'm not sure what could be causing this. I tried a few things I saw with a few google searches (specifically deleting the wpcache folder), that didn't seem to help.

There is a reference to one system crash (or GPU driver crash?) so my best bet is that maybe some files got corrupted there. Have you tried verifying the Wallpaper Engine files via Steam? Make sure to turn off the app first:

If that does not work, I would actually suggest a clean reinstallation:

Anyone? I should also mention I've read through the FAQ and didn't find anything related to this issue there.

Hey, I was just about to reply to you, sorry, we are pretty busy now due to the Christmas holidays which always result in a lot of emails coupled with us not working for a few days. Please run our scan tool and share the log file it generates while using a wallpaper that does not work for you as described here:

I have submitted the log to the email address provided in the link.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

That worked! Thank you very much!

For anyone who might need this in the future; I accidentally clicked uninstall (finger slipped), and once it was reinstalled and steam re-downloaded all my previous wallpapers, much to my surprise, all web wallpapers now load properly-- even new ones.
