So.... Have to favorite a 100 wallpapers. JESUS!!
Not only is that going to take some time but it is also going to be so annoying for the people that I know that view the 'activity' page since everything you favorite is going to be posted up there.

Is there a way to favorite wallpapers without them showing up on the activity page?

That is up to steam. So unless there is an option in the steam settings there is no possibility if I remember correctly.
Yeah couldn't find anything about it either and people have been asking for a more 'private' activity for a while now.

Guess the only thing I can do for now is post something in the activity page to warn everyone that its going to be filled with favorite wallpapers.

Are you sure it's not combining them like it combines other stuff? I'm pretty sure it's combining achievements and screenshots and such, isn't it?

But in general, Steam shows the entire patch notes in the activity tab, that's also dumb but I can't control it. Steam doesn't allow people to turn off the in-game notification for their games, which is why I am offline since a decade because I'm a developer and restart whatever I'm working on hundred times a day and my 'friends' kept complaining to me. Steam is missing a number of these basic things...
It only combines screenshots and achievements to one 'post' or 'window' (whatever its called) for each day. Uploading guides, workshop items and favoriting stuff doesnt combine.
So when I favorite a 100 wallpapers its going to be a 100 different posts under each other and that is going to take people a while to scroll all the way through those.

Anyway I posted something on the activity to warn everyone thats its going to be filled to the brim tomorrow with favorite wallpapers because Im addicted to getting achievements :)

Okay. I did try to make it not annoying for people who want to get 100% but, no, I didn't consider the activity tab, probably because I already wrote some social features off in Steam like I mentioned. I.e. if you already downloaded/favorited enough I made sure those will be counted automatically and I modified the crash achievement since it was too much trouble for some.

I guess I could shift the favorite numbers to 5, 15, 30, 50. If you do 50 in one sitting it's obviously still a lot but there isn't much point in the achievement otherwise.
Its okay. this isn't actually your fault but steam's.
you shouldn't get the blame for all this.

Like I posted earlier. People have been asking for a more private activity but steam just isn't listening.

I might not be able to hide my own activity but steam does allow you to hide activty that you might get from friends, like favoriting an item and other stuff. Warning everyone should be more then enough. :)

Please reduce the numbers for the achievement. Changing it from 100 to 50 is good enough for me.

I can review them tomorrow.
Hi @Biohazard, I disabled auto-upgrade for Wallpaper Engine for two weeks and enabled it today. After update is complete, suddenly I got the six new achievements including the Connoisseur one, is this a bug? I only favourited about 10 wallpapers.

I guess the counter must have been incrementing for you due to a bug even before this update. It's kind of tricky what I did to avoid re-counting items each start up, it must have failed in your case, disabling auto updates might actually play into it.
