Error uploading
So I've got an issue here with Wallpaper Engine, I keep getting this:

ERROR Failed copying project files into publish directory: Failed resetting directory D:/Steam/steamapps/common/wallpaper_engine/projects/temp/publish (Access is denied)

Has anyone got a fix to this error? This used to never happen, I've got uploads that I've made for W.E, than this error started showing up and now I cant upload anything now. I'm trying to upload a .gif file and an .mp4 file. both keep giving me this error.

Any help would be nice.
Thank you.

This is very likely caused by something like that, check if the directory D:/Steam/steamapps/common/wallpaper_engine/projects/temp exists and see if it is set to "read-only" or something like that. Try deleting (if it's there) and manually (re-)creating the temp/publish directory and see if that fixes the problem.

That did it. I love how simple it can be. Over thinking is real. Thanks for helping me sort this out. You're awesome!

It could be that some sort of antivirus application keeps the files in quarantine. Try to disable all antivirus software and set up exceptions for your wallpaper_engine directory. If it keeps re-appearing, there is definitely some software running on your computer which sets these files to read-only.

This is a really old topic, can you clarify what error message you are getting / share a screenshot of the error?
