Wallpaper Engine
Random anime wallpapers in my workshop folder?
So I was going through my hard drive and found in a folder labeled D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\431960 a bunch of anime vids and pics in separate folders. after looking through a bunch I was able to find out that it was my workshop folder for wallpaper engine since some of the wallpapers I actually chose to download were there. This confuses me a ton because I haven't downloaded anything anime related and none of these wallpapers can be accessed in wallpaper engine. I even found out one of the one of the anime wallpaper on my hard drive is the Miku one that's the front page of workshop, but again I never even downloaded that. Why is this a thing and can I delete all of it without deleting the ones I actually want download since all the folders with the anime wallpapers names are numbers and they're like 100 different folders with the ones I downloaded originally being randomly among them.

The only thing I can see that may have caused something like that is if you logged into a friend's account who was subscribed to the wallpapers. I imagine in that case they would be inaccessible in the Wallpaper Engine UI because you are not subscribed to them, and Steam isn't removing the files because it doesn't recognize them as being subscribed.

If you were to delete all of the wallpapers, then the ones you are actually subscribed to should just redownload.

You can create a backup of the wallpapers before you delete them if you need to: https://help.wallpaperengine.io/en/steam/backup.html

If you logged in Steam on some other PC and downloaded WE, someone might have subscribed to other wallpapers without you knowing, steam will synchronize both of the PC's and will download everything your account is subscribed to. Maybe you have a sibling or a friend that has access to your steam account or to the other PC of yours?
