Monitor goes black and no signal to monitor
PC config is 5950x 3070 32 GB 3600mhz ram and 2tb nvme
the graphic card drivers are latest and everything else runs fine.
Firstly, wallpaper engine crashes everytime I put my system to lock mode, sleep or idles for a long time
Secondly, out of the blue, the screen just goes black and then no signal from the PC to the monitor. I tried plugging and unplugging the monitor, tried a different port on GPU for DP, switched to hdmi and tried both ports on GPU and even tried the HDMI on the mobo. nothing works except forcefully restarting. Then everything is back to normal. I have had to close wallpaper engine immediately after retsrt to avoid this. Please find a fix for this asap

Windows applications cannot turn off your screen like that, this is always either a hardware fault or a severe driver issue. Keep in mind that Wallpaper Engine uses your hardware which makes it more likely for underlying issues to surface.

If Wallpaper Engine crashes regularly, especially when waking up from hibernation or similar, it's again virtually always related to faulty drivers or broken hardware. You can try to somewhat alleviate these crashes by enabling the "Safe start after hibernation" option in the Wallpaper Engine settings but it is important to note that this will not fix the underlying problem with your computer. If you truly do not have any crashes anywhere else, this could be for various reasons, mainly that Wallpaper Engine usually runs for extended times compared to games and that it may use different parts of your drivers / hardware that are commonly not accessed by video games.

I have the same issue but it only happens when I try to open the context menu on the task bar widget it disconnects my second display and I have to unplug and re-plug the HDMI cable in.

That does not sound like the same issue at all in what is described above. However, that as well is extremely like to be a driver issue, again, no Windows app can cause your screen to turn off like that, this is fundamentally not how Windows works. Please try to reinstall your graphics card drivers (uninstall first, then reinstall, even if you already have the newest). If the issue does not go away, please create a separate thread or send us an email.

you are right. This was a hardware issue and wallpaper engine has been working fine since I sorted it out.
Thanks a lot for your response.
I will message here if I experience this problem again.

I am not sure if this is the correct post for this but I am having a similar issue.

Wallpaper engine runs fine and does not crash but when my computer goes to sleep, I am presented with entirely black screens on both of my monitors.

I know the computer is awake as I can blindly click around on the desktop and managed to get Spotify to play music. However, the monitors both say "no input".
I have tried to turn them off and on and switch between HDMI and DP with no luck. I have also tried switching between a few of the monitor detection modes with no luck and "safe start after hibernation" is enabled. I have also disabled the "high priority" mode as the app stated this can cause issues and I have also just installed the latest AMD drivers a few days ago.

It does not seem to be related to a specific wallpaper format (I.E. web, video, etc) as I have tried setting a few different ones and the issue remains.

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

I love the Wallpaper Engine but it doesn't play well with power saving solutions such as sleep mode, c-states and gpu idle clocks. had to stop using it because I don't like pc reboots every now and then in idle.
