99% CPU Usage
This is ridiculous, as of the past three days, Wallpaper Engine sometimes ramps up my CPU to 99% usage. I have a Ryzen 7 3800x so this should NOT be the case. Usually happens when playing a game and closing it. I'm currently running Windows 11 but when i checked the pinned Windows 11 discussion on the board, I'm not running Razor Synapse. Someone help.

Please share this full log while the program is running by sending it to logs@wallpaperengine.io : https://help.wallpaperengine.io/en/debug/scantool.html

No, of course this should not happen, but this kind of issue has never occurred due to a bug in the program so far. Does the live wallpaper still work normally while the issue occurs? Since you mentioned that you didn't have this issue before, do you remember anything that changed about 3 days ago?

Will do, but how does one open the log? And while its at 99% usage it still runs, however stuttering and at no more than i would say 15-ish fps. I installed Windows 11 about 3 weeks ago, and i haven't had issues with Wallpaper Engine. Not sure what's making it do this. Really do appreciate the response.

You can open it through Steam with the 4th launch option, see the video in the guide at "Step 2". If this does not work please let me know what happens or if you get any error.

Do you know if there have been any (automatic) driver updates perhaps? It sounds like the graphics driver might be crashing and Windows makes Wallpaper Engine run on the CPU instead of restoring it to run on the GPU.

According to the log files, Wallpaper Engine "loses" your graphics card over and over again. This looks like some sort of problem with your graphics card drivers. The drivers you are using are also for Windows 10. Try downloading the latest Windows 11 drivers from the Nvidia website:

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

Make sure to select the "Perform clean reinstallation" option during the installation process to clear your old drivers and restart your computer afterwards. Turn Wallpaper Engine off during the driver installation.

Since Windows 11 just came out, driver issues and similar are not that unexpected and Windows 10 might still be a better choice until these early issues have been sorted out, though we have no similar reports from other Windows 11 users.

It also seems like you are on the Windows 11 dev channel which is not stable. If you want a stable system, switch to Windows 10 or use the stable release of Windows 11. We cannot offer support for development versions of Windows, they break on a weekly basis and are fixed shortly after by Microsoft and this is out of our control.

Thanks a bunch! I'll mix around with some OS and driver configurations as i really like having Windows 11. Really appreciate the time taken to cater.
