Wallpaper Engine doesn't use a lot of CPU or RAM.

So what is the catch of using this while playing games or Streaming from one PC?

Do you have multiple monitors? You can setup Wallpaper Engine to stop running when you are in a full screen application such as a game. If you're going to have your wallpaper running on another monitor while you are playing a game, then your main concern would be GPU usage. How much Wallpaper Engine uses would depend on the specific wallpaper and the target framerate. I don't think you will have any issues though.

Wallpaper Engine will automatically stop when you start games. You can further configure this in the "Performance" tab of the settings. If you set the "Other application fullscreen" option to "Stop (free memory)", the app will completely unload itself, free up any RAM (aside from an absolutely tiny background process) and then restart itself once you quit your game.

Other than that, most wallpapers will barely use your CPU at all as wallpapers are mostly handled by the GPU. A GTX 1070 will not use more than 2% - 5% for most wallpapers and it will remain in its low power state, you will not notice this in your every-day usage.

But will it stop in Borderless WIndow Mode? I have to run all my games like this for my Streaming need because I do not have a multi monitor setup. 1080p monitor is all I have

I'm not sure, but you can still setup an application rule for the wallpaper to "Stop and free memory" when a specific application is running.

Borderless window is also supported, in some cases it depends on how the game implements it. You can just create an application rule or set "Other application maximized" to "Stop (free memory)" as well. Usually this is really not necessary though.

All devices supported by Razer Synapse 3 should be supported by Wallpaper Engine. We don't program for any specific devices, just for Razer Synapse 3 (and newer).

You're likely checking the Windows task manager. Please see our help page for an explanation why the task manager shows a much higher GPU usage:

https://help.wallpaperengine.io/en/performance/gpu.html

You're likely also only using 1% - 3% of your GPU's actual power.
