If you just set up a whole playlist or switch the wallpaper around manually, then maybe that won't work for the following restart but it should work after that if you let the playlist take control. So just make sure to not keep modifying the playlist or anything and let it start a few times.
Hang on. Are you telling me that if I have the timer set to 5 minutes, my wallpaper WILL NOT change to a random wallpaper every 5 minutes?
Thank you for the response. Sorry if I'm not understanding fully what you mean, but below is my setup.
I've set it to 168 hours/7 days and Random and have a number of wallpapers in the playlists for both my primary and secondary display. But as of the last 3 days, it is rotating randomly on both displays, but every 24 hours/restart of wallpaper engine and not 168 hours as set.
Do I still keep waiting for it to self-resolve or should I be setting it differently? Thanks.
Perhaps check that there are no deleted wallpapers in your playlist or try making a playlist with only 3 wallpapers that definitely work.
Obviously I can't easily test that huge time interval right now, but I know that 48 hours worked. Maybe there is an issue if the time interval is too large so perhaps you could also try 48 hrs and see if you have any issues with that at all.
Ah! I see. Well, while I was messing with things last night I seemed to notice that for some reason, even though all my settings have it so wallpapers should change every 5 minutes, something is happening that causes them to get stuck. Several times I had a wallpaper stay for as long as half an hour before I intervened. However after forcing a change the wallpapers on that monitor once again started changing every 5 minutes as intended. I'm not sure what's happening yet, but hopefully I get an understanding soon.
No deleted wallpapers as far as I can tell. I am trying out 72 hours for now and if that doesn't work then 48, but hopefully there can an extension of this capped time limit above 48 hours in future. Thanks so much for your work.
