Steelseries Engine
Hi there, I love wallpaper engine but I have all SteelSeries peripherals, I'm aware that a few months ago this was requested, but just to remind you. It would be great if you could develop an "app" for the SteelSeries engine. Though I have no experience outside of python, SteelSeries seem to have a really in-depth guide into making these apps at https://github.com/SteelSeries/gamesense-sdk

Though that's meant for game integration, I think that wallpaper engine could also use this.

I would really appreciate if you had a look at doing this again.

Devs are on vacation, so they are not very active at the moment, and I'm not sure if this will ever happen, since the dev team consists only of two people and this will require them to put time into this, but I have Arctis so it would be nice to see some integrations.

It's on our radar but since there is a complete lack of industry standards we need to custom-program every solution for every hardware manufacturer which isn't exactly a great way to do this, so in the future we may simply open up the LED color system of Wallpaper Engine so power-users can write their own LED plugins for their own hardware which is a much more feasible solution for us.

These LED SDKs are quite maintenance-intensive and they all differ significantly and have their own quirks which simply makes it impossible for us to implement a large number of them (and everyone expects us to implement everything sort of).

Plugins ftw, just need some more power-users! Can you intergerate them too!

jk, its a solution fo sure.

One way that this could be done is when you open up the LED color system, you could ask SteelSeries to make the LED plugin itself?
Power users could make their own also or adjust/ modify it on their own, similar to how you can change game graphics settings in video games.
