What is chinese stuff? I'd agree there's a lot of sexual stuff on wallpaper engine if you're looking at the most popular wallpapers in the workshop tab.

a least landscape as a single category seems not containing animees.
I mean seeing anime characters in categories other than anime doesn't necessarily constitute false tagging. You are going to find anime characters in the "Game" category for example, because anime characters also exist within games. You are less likely to find anime characters in a category like landscape, nature, or vehicle. I did find this wallpaper in the Vehicle category:

Since the tags are all pretty vague I feel that it would be wrong to say that these wallpapers have been falsely tagged. I think using the "Hide Anime" button in the app is going to be the best you can do to avoid seeing anything related to anime whatsoever.
