How can i use 3440x1440 wallpapers on a 1080p monitor?
Whenever i set a 3440x1440 wallpaper its just a balck screen with only the audio playing. Is there any way i can get them to work on a 1080p display?
I have a nvidia card, and win 8.

Does the wallpaper have 60 FPS? I think the decoders from Win8 don't support that together with above 1080p resolution, although Microsoft hasn't documented this limitation.

Can you send a workshop link here?

You can also try the 4k ones, many of them are < 60 FPS I think.

That one is also 60 FPS (I checked in VLC and they put it in the description). But this creator has multiple versions, so maybe the 1080p 60 FPS version works?

But yes, in general it is probably better to use videos that match your resolution, just to save performance and memory. I figured you have found some 3440x1440 ones you liked that have no alternate versions or so.

Yes there is a few I really liked but they have no other versions, also tried and 4k also works in 30fps but doesnt in 60.
Thanks for your time, just wanted to know if the problem is on my part.(I guess lowering resolution by editing the video file could be an option, perhaps the only one)
