how do i stop my first 5 pages of searchs from being half dressed anime girls? i even filtered it to show me sci fi only and it still fills up with anime girls. Its annoying and i dont care for this waifu culture

I am not seeing any anime girls with only "Sci-fi" selected. Can you share a screenshot of your filters / the search term you are using?

If you look at the screenshots tab in the community hub as well its full of anime girls as well

You can take a screenshot with Windows and then upload it here for example: www.imgur.com and then share the link to it here. Please make sure to show us there what the filter settings are.

The screenshot tab and artwork tab have no filtering and they have nothing to do with Wallpaper Engine. They are just Steam things, every game has them, and people can use them to upload anything.

https://imgur.com/7nMwlTd there you go and the screenshot tab shows the type of content that is being uploaded onto the program and exactly why im going through this issue. im noticing people are tagging these anime pictures with every filter as well

Do you have the "Unspecified" category selected? The anime wallpapers I see there are marked as unspecified and they should be filtered out by the Steam search. The "Unspecified genre" filter is at the top and it's missing in your screenshot. I do not have the same results as you when I set my filters to only Sci-Fi and sort by Most popular (year).

unspecified is not checked. sci fi and video are the only things actually checked off. why is there an unspecified category anyways lol.

Can you please click the arrows at the top to reset the filters and then choose only sci-fi again?

Since when do you have Wallpaper Engine? Steam has been known to occasionally return incorrect results, but Valve has since improved this a lot and it often fixed itself after a couple of minutes. So I would be surprised if this is a new persistent issue, but it could be.

I think Steam sometimes bugs out and randomly includes other categories, I have had that happen in the past but not for quite some time. I think it's some rare bug with the Steam search and probably it'll fix itself after a while. Try changing the query slightly by including Video and Scene wallpapers for example, not sure if that will give you proper results. Alternatively, use the website for once as it does not suffer from the same issue usually:
