Need help with the fire effect
Okay okay, so i tried using this tutorial:
https://wallpaper-engine.fandom.com/wiki/Tutorial_Fire

But i wasn't able to do it because the fire effect looked horribly unrealistic. Is there any settings or textures i need? Something I'm doing wrong? Maybe its because i've messed with the settings, and i really couldn't find out how to reset them

Hey,

your question is pretty "open" since I actually do not know what you did exactly, so I am not sure what to tell you. Some general advice would be to look at all the properties of the fire effect:

https://wallpaper-engine.fandom.com/wiki/Image_Effect_Fire

Depending on what you want to achieve, the fire effect may not even be necessarily the right choice. For example, this sample wallpaper (project files in the description) does not use the fire effect at all but rather mixes multiple effects to make the fire from the image appear to be moving:

What i mean is that the "fire" just ends up looking like this:

It obviously looks kinda silly if you just draw a few lines and keep all the default settings. What is the picture you are trying to edit and what are you trying to achieve?

Also make sure you are not mixing up the "Fire" image effect and the "Fire" asset (which can be added on the left via "Add asset"). I know the tutorial does not mention this one, but the fire image effect works well for some cases like the burning eyes of a dragon but you would not use it to add a torch-like flame into a scene.

And im trying to achieve a realistic fire effect like the campfire example you sent

In that case, don't use the fire image effect. I would recommend you go to the link above, grab the project files from the comments and see how that was done. Like it says in the description, that was achieved with the water ripple, pulse and ember effects.
