My screensaver won't work
It usually works I think but after I got Wallpaper Engine it stopped working. I tried turning off audio output and checking the powercfg requests in command prompt and it said "none" in all categories. If it helps, I'm using a video wallpapers with muted music on a schedule

Hey Revan,

can you run the command again twice? Once with Wallpaper Engine running and once with Wallpaper Engine being turned off completely? Generally, the list should say "None" in for all groups, all of these points are blocking hibernation on your system but it would be interesting to see if these are somehow related to Wallpaper Engine.

Interestingly, some Oculus software seems to block hibernation as well, but from my end it's obviously not clear whether or not you were actively doing something when you ran the command. Try to just be on your desktop when you run the command.

I'm having the same problem but I'm getting "none" in all the groups

Hello,
Which wallpapers are you using that cause this?

So far I only know about audio responsive ones that cause this, but it seems to be something that Windows enforces. However there are some sleep settings for multimedia in the power options, maybe adjusting those could help?

I'm using a wall paper that has sound but it's muted and in powercfg requests it says "none" for all the groups but it still won't go to sleep

Hey, I have merged all your posts into this one because it's really difficult to keep track of conversations across three different threads.

Generally, Windows prevents your PC from sleeping or showing a screensaver when watching videos, as that would be rather annoying. Since Wallpaper Engine essentially plays video wallpapers with Windows Media Player (that's a bit of a simplified explanation), Windows thinks you are watching a video so it will not show a screensaver.

I would just recommend that you do not use "Video"-based wallpapers if you really want screensavers to work, I know it's a bit annoying but that would be the easiest solution.

You can also experiment around a bit by changing the Windows power settings, specifically by setting the media options to "Allow the computer to sleep" and see if that will actually fix screen savers for you. Make sure to configure it for the selected power setting:

By "sleep" does that mean sleep like everything turns off sleep or like showing the screensaver sleep?

Hey, if I remember correctly, these "sleep" options cover screensavers and hibernation settings at the same time, as Windows considers them to be the same thing when it comes to "things to do when idle".
