You can not use clone mode and then select the wallpaper directly for each monitor. Then it is just independent and definitely rendered at full resolution.
Yes, but on the other monitor, if you move the mouse there, nothing will happen.
If the above solution without clone mode works for you, I guess we can forget about this. If you really want to use clone mode though, maybe you could make a video of that wallpaper and both monitors where you slowly move the mouse across both monitors over these particles, then I will be able to see what I need to know.
I'm afraid there is no other way to check this. For me this system works correctly, it picks the bigger monitor and everything is done how it should be, so unfortunately I can't just do this myself to check.
If you change the resolution of your primary monitor to a really small one it should become more obvious whether there is something going wrong. If the quality of your 1440p monitor decreases then as well, then there is an issue with the clone function.
So perhaps try this: change the resolution of your 1080p screen to 800x600 (or lower) and take another screenshot, preferably as PNG to make it easier to judge.
when i changed my main monitor res to 800x600 it lowered the res of the wallpaper on the 2nd monitor
It would be helpful if you stay on the beta so you could let me know if you notice any issues before I release this with the next update to everyone, yeah.
This is what I was talking about in the beginning: in clone mode there is only one "real" wallpaper and the other is a copy of that. So the copy can't react to the mouse, only the real one can.
The idea is that the program puts the real wallpaper on your largest monitor so that you get the best quality there. All smaller monitors get the copy since that won't decrease their quality.
