Can't search stuff with spaces in between?

So it's not advised to use the steam browser, but in the app itself I can't search for stuff while using spaces? Any way to get around this/ fix for this?

If you want an exact match, you need to put your search term in quotation marks (like you would on Google, for example). This behavior is the same in the app and on the Steam Workshop itself, since we rely on the Steam search for this and have no control over this behavior.

So instead of searching for:

Wallpaper Engine

Search for this:

"Wallpaper Engine"

Oh thank you! At first I didn't think this was the answer I was looking for, but it is. Could you maybe add a "sort by relevance" filter? The reason I thought this wasn't how it works was because Steam's search is by default sorted by relevance, so if I looked for My Hero Academia on the app it would show everything that started with My and on the steam page it would show the wallpapers related to the entire sentence/name and thus show more of the stuff I was looking for first.

This does not work. It keeps giving me variants of the names. Steam's friend search is useless in it's current state.

This thread is about the Wallpaper Engine search, it has nothing to do with Steam Friends.

You're right. My bad. I think it further proves how broken Steam search is.

I searched in Steam's forum discussion, not a game or app forum, but it gave me results in this forum. What the hell Steam?
