What is Corsair iCUE?

Corsair iCUE allows users with Corsair iCUE hardware to set up custom-colored lighting matching their wallpapers. For more information, visit the Corsair website:

https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/icue

Note that not all Corsair hardware is iCUE compatible. If a Corsair device is not working for you, it may not be fully compatible with iCUE. A full list of compatible devices can be found in Corsair's iCUE SDK documentation. As of September 2019, this is the list of compatible devices:

How do I enable / disable Corsair iCUE?

In the "Plugins" section of the Wallpaper Engine settings, you can find "iCUE (Corsair Utility Engine)". You can enable or disable the Corsair plugin from being loaded by marking the checkbox on the left.

By default, Scene wallpapers are not automatically animated by Wallpaper Engine. You can enable iCUE effects by selecting the "Enable iCUE Effects" checkbox in the settings of individual Scene-type wallpapers (select the wallpaper in the "Installed" tab and you will find it at the top of the sidebar in the right-hand side). If you want iCUE to be applied to all compatible wallpapers, use the "Apply to all wallpapers" button at the bottom of the wallpaper settings. If the "Enable iCUE Effects" option does not appear, Wallpaper Engine was unable to find iCUE on your system. Ensure that the plugin is loaded and that iCUE is active and running on your system.

Note that iCUE is used in "exclusive mode", this means that Wallpaper Engine will take priority over other iCUE-compatible software such as games. If you want your games to animate your keyboard, disable either the iCUE plugin or either Scene or Web Effects support.

Note: Corsair RGB RAM has software controls disabled by default, meaning that your memory modules will not light up according to Wallpaper Engine unless you allow this in the iCUE software settings. Make sure the "Enable full software control" option in your iCUE device settings in the memory section is selected: Click here to view a screenshot of the option.[i.imgur.com]

How do I create iCUE-compatible wallpapers?

All 2D Scene wallpapers support iCUE out of the box if iCUE has been enabled. Make sure that the "Enable Scene Effects" checkbox is enabled in the wallpaper settings as described above.

Web-based wallpapers have an API which allow custom access to iCUE hardware. We have documented the API here for advanced developers of web-based wallpapers (don't hesitate to ask for help if you you have any questions, though!):
