Hey, are you sure your Wallpaper Settings are not weird somehow? Check the playback settings, maybe you have set Wallpaper Engine to "Pause" on pretty much everything. If you are unsure, you can also reset your settings at the bottom of the "General" settings tab.

Hm, the only reason this can happen is if Wallpaper Engine is intentionally pausing playback or if something would be interfering with the playback in a reeeeally unusual way. For now can you try completely turning off Wallpaper Engine, going to the wallpaper_engine directory and deleting all config.json files in there?

By default the directory is here but it may differ if your Steam is installed in a different place:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\wallpaper_engine\config.json"

Keep in mind that the config can exists multiple times, make sure to delete them all (you can back them up if you want to). Afterwards, start Wallpaper Engine again and see if the problem is fixed. If not, let me know and I will think of a way to help you out further.

I'm sorry to jump into this thread but I'm also having issues with WPE.

Curiously enough, this is only affecting ONE of my three monitors.

It seems that my 144Hz Monitor, the wallpaper applied (same to the other two) starts legitimately lagging to the point it's animation will stop after a few minutes. While this happens to my 144Hz monitor, the other two (60Hz) are fine and working as intended.

The Creator of the WP directed me to this thread so, that's why I'm here.

I'm wondering what could be causing this?
