I can't change my taskbar color

What did you try exactly? In the Wallpaper Engine settings, do you have "Adjust Windows color" enabled in the "General" tab? The option is just below the "Start with Windows" option, second from top.

Ah, I forgot to enable the option. My friend had this and I assumed that it was automatic

Change the Windows theme from "Light" to "Dark", then try again. It's not possible to change colors on the Windows Light theme.

Hi there, wanted to bump this discussion because my taskbar still will not change color despite the "Adjust Windows color" being enabled in the general tab. Any fixes?

Do you have "Adjust Windows color" set to "Everything?" Aside from that and using the dark theme, I don't see anything about this not working.

Thanks for clarifying, I fixed the issue because I was on custom and did not set all settings to dark theme.

personnaly i use Rainmeter script for fully transparency task bar :) so my bar was my walpaper :)

I was just running into this issue, if you still can't change the color, I have Windows Classic start menu installed on my PC because I hate Windows 10 / 11 start menu. You may have to go into the settings for that and uncheck "Customize taskbar" under the "taskbar" tab.
Overall, just check if you use any other 3rd party customizations for windows appearances g oing
