Select specific GPU for WallpaperEngine
Is or will there be an option to select which GPU WE uses? I'm running on a GTX1070 with Intel Integrated Graphics enabled and want to off-load WE to the Intel Graphics? Any options to do so?
Much appreciated :)

Nvidia's graphics card drivers detect Wallpaper Engine and will automatically fall back to the integrated GPU. Otherwise you can manually set it in the control panel yourself, but there is no reason why it would not work.

hm... whenever I start wallpaper engine the taskmanager detects load for the GPU1 which is my dedicated GPU. The iGPU idles. Are you sure there is such a feature? And could you explain the control panel thing? I can't specify the iGPU in the control panel from nvidia cause it is Intel I guess...

You can definitely force Wallpaper Engine to use the Intel GPU in the Nvidia control panel:

Make sure to apply it to all of Wallpaper Engine's executables (wallpaper32.exe and wallpaper64.exe mainly).

That's the problem. I don't have that option (The Dropdown to select GPUs).
I have a desktop pc not a laptop. So nvidias optimus technology won't work.

Ah, I misread and thought you had a notebook, in that case you should leave it the way it is.

There's a technical explanation here why it would be silly to force the integrated GPU, check the last section: http://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/discussions/2/1458455461474586693/

You want Wallpaper Engine to run on the GPU that is also used by your desktop window itself and that your monitor is connected to. Your primary GPU.

If you run it on the other one, you won't actually offload any of the work, you will disable hardware acceleration for your desktop and the DWM process will suddenly rise in CPU usage, slowing everything down and making the whole PC sluggish.

Ok yea that explains the issue. Thank you very much.
