Wallpaper Engine downloads nothing from workshop
Hello, I have encountered this problem since i logged into my friend's account (on another PC account) to help him doing something.
Whenever i launch Steam or Wallpaper Engine, it starts downloading things from the Workshop, but when it finishes nothing new appear in the program.
Anyone knows what is wrong? I don't want to download 2 GB for nothing every time i run Steam.
Thanks in advance! :d:

Wallpaper Engine does not download anything, all wallpapers are technically Steam subscriptions, so the issue is somewhere on Steam's end. Steam should not randomly re-download workshop subscriptions unless the author has changed content.

In rare cases, people have antivirus tools running which prevent Steam from writing data or delete it, so if you have any antivirus running, try disabling it temporarily and see if that fixes it. You can also try clearing Steam's download cache, we have described that in this FAQ entry, you can also see if you can try some other things from there:

Hey, sorry to hear that FAQ entry is of no use. It's obviously impossible for me to know what you have tried and what you have not tried, but I wanted to make it clear that you should look on Steam's end to resolve this issue. Again, this is somewhat of an unusual issue, there is no good reason for Steam to re-download everything, it sounds like some general Steam file is corrupted, so re-installing Steam may be a good option. Here's a tutorial on how to do that without losing any game files, please have a look at the "Manually Removing Steam" section:

If all things fail, you could try unsubscribing from all wallpapers, then remove Wallpaper Engine from your computer, restart Steam and check if it downloads anything. If not, install Wallpaper Engine, re-subscribe to your wallpapers and see if the issue persists.

hmmm... i think i may have to clarify something
steam isn't re-downloading stuff from wallpaper engine, it's literally downloading nothing
i tried to wait wait until that 2 gb file completes downloading, when it did nothing was added to my installed workshop files (even though i didn't subscribe to them)
i will try to do some more searches, and if i didn't get any result then i'll have ro reinstall steam/wallpaper engine
again, thx for ur help
