How do I stop WE from dowloading from another account?
So, both my gf and I have WE.
I went to her account today on my pc and now WE is downloading the almost 90Gb she has in wallpapers... There seems to be no way of stopping it for good (i can pause it) either on steam or WE. On WE it won't even show me what I'm downloading.
Any help is appreciated :)

The reason why it's like that is because technically, Wallpaper Engine does not download anything. All wallpapers are "Steam subscriptions", so when you log in with another account, Steam simply sees that subscriptions for the current account are missing so it starts to download them. It's an unfortunate limitation of Steam that cannot be fixed on WPE's end.

So I'll just have to let it download everything and delete it afterwards? :/

In case anyone has the same problem in the future, I downloaded the full 90Gb at which point they were auto-deleted, presumably because they weren't in my subscriptions, and then the 90 Gb download restarted. Only way to stop it seems to be uninstalling WE and reinstalling, but you'll have to download every wallpaper again.

This happening to me right now. Is there a better way to fix this? Something new after 5 years? Or I must uninstall WE and redownload my 160 GB of wallpapers again?

Thank you that worked for me! Also maybe good to say is that every subscribed Wallpaper stays subscribed, even when you uninstall WE. So downloading your own wallpapers only takes some time (depends on the internet connection) to automatically download :D
