Wallpaper Engine

Autostart Menu
Hi!

I was wondering if there was a way to stop the "Browse Wallpaper" menu from opening when WE is set to autostart? I've currently got the Wallpaper64.exe shortcut in my startup folder and it works perfectly under High Priority. Problem is, after a few seconds, the "select monitor" and "Browse Wallpaper" menus pop up. It's not a massive deal but it's just a small annoyance which removes the seamless nature of the program.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Have you tried turning it off and on again? No, seriously. That might do the job.
For me it doesn't open that window, then again I don't even see it in my autostart (task manager) either. Did you use the in-app feature "Start with Windows" to put it into autostart or did you add it manually? I used the former and it works seamlessly.

It's not supposed to show up - perhaps it is registered to auto start twice, through different methods, then it would do this.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I tried autostart in the WE program and it didn't autostart at all. I then moved the shortcut into the startup folder where it ran perfectly and in high priority. Problem is, it then brought up this menu. I've restarted multiple times to see if it repeats and it does seem to. I can remove it from the Startup Folder again but then it won't AutoStart when I reset?

Okay I've been trying to get this to work for ages now and I think I've finally figured out a work around if anyone else runs into this problem. It's a really odd one. Problem for me was WE not working on StartUp when the option was selected in the application by itself. It either needed Shell:Startup to work alongside it (Causing it to open twice) or it wouldn't open at all.

This is how I managed to get it to run:

1) I started by turning off AutoStart in WallpaperEngine. It wasn't working by itself.
2) Add WallpaperEngine32/64.exe shortcut to your shell:startup
3) Restart PC - Wallpaper.exe will start again but not quickly or in High Priorty.
4) Open Wallpaper32/64.exe & Turn On Autostart + High Priority (If wanted)
5) Restart PC - You should have WallpaperEngine.exe opening in High Priority but with menu.
6) Delete Shortcut from Shell:Startup.
7) Restart PC.
8) You should now have WE open as High Priority with no menu opening as BioHazard suggested.

I tried a whole bunch of variations on this and it would either not open Wallpaper Engine at all or it would open with the Browse Wallpaper Menu. The above for some reason got the WE's auto start option working on high priority on my PC when it wouldn't before? No idea what was going on there. It's like it needed to be prompted by the shell:Startup to take notice of WallpaperEngines option??

Thanks for the help poster + Dev above.
