DIsplays won't go to sleep.
I have read the FAQ and followed all the steps listed and still no display sleep.

I do not use system sleep nor hibernation, my monitors simply they power off after 15 mins of inactivity.

I really love this application but having my monitors on 24/7 isn't worth the uber cool wallpapers.

Please let me know what details I need to provide.

Which wallpapers are you having the issue with? Can you open cmd.exe by typing it into the Windows search and then execute "powercfg requests" and take a screenshot of the console / copy-paste the contents of your console and post them here?

Any animated ones. I currently cycle through a number of them, all muted.

Output of that command:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg /requests
DISPLAY:

Hey Revan,

can you run the command again twice? Once with Wallpaper Engine running and once with Wallpaper Engine being turned off completely? Generally, the list should say "None" in for all groups, all of these points are blocking hibernation on your system but it would be interesting to see if these are somehow related to Wallpaper Engine.

Interestingly, some Oculus software seems to block hibernation as well, but from my end it's obviously not clear whether or not you were actively doing something when you ran the command. Try to just be on your desktop when you run the command.

With the application running:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg /requests
DISPLAY:

[PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume7\Steam\Steam.exe

EXECUTION:

PERFBOOST:

ACTIVELOCKSCREEN:

Without the application running:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>powercfg /requests
DISPLAY:
None.

SYSTEM:
[PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume4\Program Files (x86)\Plex\Plex Media Server\Plex Media Server.exe
[PROCESS] \Device\HarddiskVolume7\Steam\Steam.exe

EXECUTION:

ACTIVELOCKSCREEN:

Doesn't appear to be any different, but this application is definitely the one preventing my display sleep.

We have just tested this extensively again and we cannot reproduce this issue at all and we are not aware of any other users who are experiencing this kind of problem, so our best bet is that there is likely a conflict with some other software or some obscure Windows setting.

Can you try the Fantastic Car wallpaper with Wallpaper Engine's sound muted from the Wallpaper Engine settings and without any playlist enabled to see if the issue still occurs?
Link Jun 17, 2018 @ 2:20pm
Okay, I have just re-installed the software from scratch and loaded Fantastic Car. Will get back to you after testing.

So the Fantastic car paper dpes not have the issue.

A thought occured to me, would it maybe be because I have my platlists rotating every 5 minutes that could cause the issue? Seeing as my display sleep timer is 15 minutes.

Yes, but generally with 'scene' and 'video' wallpapers this should not be an issue in any case. Could you next try to use two scene wallpapers in a playlist? Best would be two stock ones again, let's say 'Fantastic Car' and 'Ricepod' with a short playlist rotation of 5 minutes.

Trying a few things will hlep isolate the issue, i.e. if it's due to a specific wallpaper or wallpaper type.

Okay, got that stock playlist loaded on all 3 monitors. 5 minutes with wallpaper transition shown. Will report back after I try it out! :)
Link Jun 20, 2018 @ 10:53am
Yep, that setup has prevented display sleep... is the 5 min transition the culprit?
Tim  [developer] Jun 20, 2018 @ 12:01pm
Do you happen to have the playlist transition setting enabled or is it disabled?

Can you disable that last feature and see if that makes a difference?

Have done and will report back!

Nope, displays still won't sleep! I'll increase the tmer.
