Wallpapers from cache dont load at the moment
Ive got a little issue with my 1,1k wallpapers, only the ones I downloaded a few hours and also some that I downloaded a few days ago are loading in the app.

I gotta admit I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up a little - my download is dropping from 3-4 MB/s to 0 bytes all the time so I cant really download anything. That tilted me a lot so I deinstalled Steam and tried to reinstall it but it didnt really work out for some reason. Long story short I did a system recovery to like a week ago and suddently Wallpaper Engine said that a few applications are causing issues with it, one of them being a Wallpaper Engine process itself. I deinstalled the folder that was causing the issue and downloaded all updates for WE again (at first it said 50 GBs but after I restarted because I still had the same issues with my download it was a lot less).

After all that I could start the app again but as I said only a handful of wallpapers are installed. Most of the ones that I started up before deinstalling Steam but also a few from a few days ago.

When hovering to the top left it does say "Wrote 1073 wallpapers to cache" but none of the old ones appear anywhere.

Would be nice to know if there is a way to recover my precious collection. If I go to my favorites it says that I still got them installed and it'll say about all the others as well probably so I do think there is a solution somewhere.

Try to clear Steam's download cache:

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3134-TIAL-4638

Afterwards, turn off Wallpaper Engine completely and then verify its files via Steam:

Steam will also do this for Workshop items but with a delay in the background, so it's best if you do that and then don't touch Steam / don't launch anything via Steam for 15 minutes or so.

Steam didnt say that anything was missing/corrupted so it did nothing but I found the section where you can see all the wallpapers that you are subscribed to and I think thats enough for me.

Its surely gonna take some time but at least I can get all the ones that I want again.
