We couldn't help you so far because you are making new threads instead of providing the info we asked about.

This problem isn't in Wallpaper Engine but in Windows/graphics drivers, because the Windows sleep mode is simply unreliable and buggy and doesn't restore things in order.

That means we may be able to find a solution if you could test the things we asked about, but we can't help without that because it doesn't happen on every PC.

I will ask again because it's important, did anything change if you set "display asleep" to "stop"? Just change it to that and see if that avoids the issue or not.

If it doesn't help, please post links to the two wallpapers you are using and this log: https://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/discussions/1/3307213006836797842/

Ok, I'm not a developer, but usually the basics are like:

- make sure all your video drivers are up to date
- try re-installing wallpaper engine
- start wallpaper engine (and if the first screen stays black), navigate to the Wallpaper Engine install directory (...\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine), an copy the last content of the log.txt

should look a bit like this:
-------------------------------------------
Application start: 2019-05-31T11:39:48Z
Version: 1.1.174 (2019-05-06 19:10:25)

Thanks. Is this a wallpaper that you are currently using or used today: "squidtastic1"? It was a GIF apparently and it says it's missing. But if you didn't actually use it today then I have an idea about what's wrong.

In that case, could you put the 'fantastic car' stock wallpaper on both screens and put the PC to sleep, or do that the next time you want to put it to sleep?

After that, please post the log again like you did before, I wonder if it will be unable to open the file of the stock wallpaper then as well.

It looks like it's still loading different projects and not the fantastic car. Can you check in Windows Explorer if these paths really exists? Make sure to check if they are an exact match or if anything is different or missing:

C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/wallpaper_engine/projects/myprojects/squidtastic2/scene.json

C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/431960/1357065761/scene.pkg

C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/wallpaper_engine/projects/myprojects/squidtastic1/gifscene.json

in my projects i just have 2 dentalvengefulbu folders and 4 squidtastic folders with shader folders inside of them. in the second path theres more than just an scene.pkg file.
i deleted the squidtastic things in wallpaper engine tho cause i couldnt manage to make it to an 1920x1080 wallpaper
Biohazard  [developer] Jun 1, 2019 @ 7:24am
Then I'm guessing it is after all just trying to load something that doesn't exist anymore.

Your PC may be changing the name of the monitor and Wallpaper Engine will try to load some old wallpaper that doesn't exist anymore because it thinks there is a different monitor connected suddenly.

The log Arthesian mentioned could clarify this issue, but first you have to set the option 'log level' to 'verbose' in the Wallpaper Engine settings. Please set that and try to repeat the steps - first choose the fantastic car wallpaper for both screens, then go to sleep and back.

didnt work shouldnt i delete the squidtastic folders?

You can try deleting the files. First turn off Wallpaper Engine completely, then delete the files and then try to verify Wallpaper Engine via Steam as described here:

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

Afterwards, just wait for 10 - 15 minutes as Steam will fix Workshop items in the background without showing it, make sure to not start any apps or games via Steam after verifying.
