Hey, which wallpaper are you using to test the audio visualizer? Could you run our scan tool and post the log file as described here:

There is no log file, basically the audio visualizer just won't work. I can put it on my background but it just won't react to my sound, if that makes any sense

I am sorry, just to clarify, please click on the link and follow the instructions there. You will launch a tool which will create a log file for you. Also please do let me know which exact wallpaper you are trying to use. You can get the link for the wallpaper by clicking on the Steam icon below the preview image in Wallpaper Engine.

I use a Razer Kraken Tournament Edition Headset if that makes any difference

Hm, so we have had some major issues with Razer Kraken headsets in the past but we worked with Razer to fix these problems. I see your drivers are up-to-date, so that's likely not the cause of this issue. I have to admit, this is the first time I hear of the "Tournament Edition" and I strongly assume this THX Surround feature is likely the cause of this issue.

Just so I better understand the hardware setup, as far as I see how this things works is you have plugged the headset into the THX USB dongle and the USB dongle is then plugged into your computer, is that correct? I would assume that if you directly connect the headset to your PC without the dongle in-between, the audio recording will start working (you may need to restart Wallpaper Engine and switch the audio device in Windows first, though). If it's not too annoying for you, could you test that some time?

Unfortunately I don't have any immediate fixes up my sleeve, I think I will have to get in touch with Razer about this thing and see if they have any technical recommendations for this headset.

I assume the video from this FAQ about the Razer Kraken also does not apply to your model because it seems to be completely different from the older Razer Kraken:

Also, if English is annoying / confusing for you, we can also continue in German.

Yeah it works without the THX, do you know if it will be compatible with the thx?

Alright, thanks for trying that out. That's news to me so I cannot really comment on that without looking into it further. Razer's software always does some crazy stuff which breaks audio recording, so we'll have to see if we can find a way to get around that.

Can you quickly just tell me what steps you took exactly? You just plugged the headphone jack directly into your computer rather than using the dongle, right? If there's anything else you did, please do let me know, it would help me communicate this to Razer.
