Wallpaper automatically changing before timer ends
I'm noticing an issue with the playlist I've made, I change the settings for "Change Wallpaper" to "On Timer" which is set to 24hrs and "Order" is set to "Sorted". But despite this, the wallpaper keeps changing itself every time I log into the PC and it always picks a random 1. It's like it's completely disregarding the timer setting.

Any suggestions or is this a bug that needs to be patched out?

The timer doesn't persist if the program is closed, including turning Windows off and on, so it's not supposed to restore the wallpaper when the program is restarted.

Only logging out of Windows and back in should keep the wallpaper though as long as the program isn't closed. Changing the 'display asleep' option to 'pause' may solve this although I believe it's supposed to work with any setting there.

Try changing the "Monitor identification" option in the "General" tab of the Wallpaper Engine to "Device Path" and see if the issue goes away.

It was already set to Device Path by default. At least it was already set when I just went to change it.

EDIT: I've tried all monitor identification types & none of them fix this issue.

Are you locking your computer and logging back in or are you restarting it/turning it off?

It does it when I turn it off and on which is where I initially noticed the problem. It was also doing it when I was logging out of windows (not switching off) to test each Monitor identification setting and it was again doing it when I open & close wallpaper engine.

Ah. I was thinking it worked like Windows Slideshow and that it was meant to be persistent. I suppose I'll just set it to never change & just manually change it every now and then. lol

Are there any plans to make it persistent or cache the timer/wallpaper after the program is closed?

Not currently but I could see that it would be useful. I added it to the list of suggestions, but as you can see it's quite long so there is no telling when it would be added: https://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/discussions/0/1500126447391526102/

All good, I'm okay just changing it manually for now. It's a small price to pay to have significantly better wallpapers. And I guess I wouldn't mind having some wallpapers last longer than others :P

Thank you both for your assistance.
