The game might not allow any other programs to use the graphics card if it is an old game or uses 'exclusive fullscreen' mode though. Then you can try changing it to windowed mode for example.
I tried but it still seems to pause.
Here is an example, I have my second screen displaying the "Audiophile" animated equalizer screen which is linked to the audio.
If I click on youtube (for example) on my primary monitor it will pause the second screen.
I have the options open in front of me, could you explain what settings I should have to only pause the primary monitor when browsing youtube or even opening a game (in borderless mode as you explained)?
These are my current settings and it still pauses if I open my browser, or click on any other window (Steam for example).

Thanks!
p.s. love this software by the way, well done!
Thanks! I'm looking forward to it :)
For stretching I think this is easier to understand, since you just have one wallpaper, but stretched. Cloning behaves like this too because the clones are mere image copies of the real wallpaper, so they cost almost no additional performance, Windows draws the clones all by itself. If the real wallpaper was paused here, then all clones will inadvertently be paused too.
