Hi, second monitor question, please help! Thankyou :)
Hi, I have recently added a second monitor to my setup.

I have both monitors working with moving wallpapers, looks great!

Is there any way to pause my primary monitor's wallpaper and keep my secondary monitor's wallpaper running when I am playing a game or have another program open?

Thanks all!

Yes, if the game allows that, you can use the 'per-monitor' pause options in the settings.

The game might not allow any other programs to use the graphics card if it is an old game or uses 'exclusive fullscreen' mode though. Then you can try changing it to windowed mode for example.

Ah thanks Biohazard, for replying :)

I tried but it still seems to pause.

Here is an example, I have my second screen displaying the "Audiophile" animated equalizer screen which is linked to the audio.

If I click on youtube (for example) on my primary monitor it will pause the second screen.

I have the options open in front of me, could you explain what settings I should have to only pause the primary monitor when browsing youtube or even opening a game (in borderless mode as you explained)?

These are my current settings and it still pauses if I open my browser, or click on any other window (Steam for example).

Thanks!

p.s. love this software by the way, well done!

It's because of the focus setting, yeah. They will override each other depending on how you set it up, so if you click on youtube you will focus it and that setting would take effect - it doesn't have a per monitor option.
Ah I see, is that something you could look into adding via an update perhaps? It would be really handy :) Thanks for your time bud

Yeah I think it should be possible at least.

not sure if you are still having this problem but i just realised the pause per monitor settings dont work if you have 'clone single wallpaper' turned on, instead you have to select individual wallpapers per screen. after this your pause per monitor settings will start working

Yep, stretch does not work either. Is it possible to make it work with either clone or stretch?

The clone and stretch settings make any per monitor option impossible. They are both effectively just a single *real* wallpaper, so it cannot be paused on just one monitor.

For stretching I think this is easier to understand, since you just have one wallpaper, but stretched. Cloning behaves like this too because the clones are mere image copies of the real wallpaper, so they cost almost no additional performance, Windows draws the clones all by itself. If the real wallpaper was paused here, then all clones will inadvertently be paused too.

The issue can be fixed by choosing 'Wallpaper per monitor' and then just choosing the same wallpaper for each monitor. Stretch still wouldn't work though.
