What video formats can loop seamlessly?
EDIT:
Discovered Shotcut was adding keyframes to my .webm file when I converted it from .mp4. Webm does loop seamlessly. Mp4, of course, does not.

I'd still like to know what other (preferably lossless, if there is one) formats I can use for seamless loops in Wallpaper Engine. Are all non-Chromium files going to have the same stuttering issue that .mp4 files have?

EDIT2:
... things just got weird. I just imported & exported my downloaded .mp4 as a lossless mp4 (H.264) and now it loops fine. Somehow converting a .mp4 to another .mp4 fixed it.

EDIT3:
Never mind. It only works until I restart my PC... then the loop breaks again. For the life of me, I can't figure out why Clock Synch only works sometimes.

I have the same exact issue, I am making loops with .mp4 and getting non seamless loops. I didn't realise it was the actual format though, so I will have to try others.

You can use the webm format and if you install LAV you can have almost seamless loops with hardware acceleration: https://help.wallpaperengine.io/en/videos/lav.html

Mp4 with h.264 always uses hardware acceleration and isn't seamless, the Windows video system just doesn't support that.

wait, but if mp4 is the only video format that can be published on the workshop, at least according to the wiki, how are seamless videos achieved in the wallpapers i am subscribed to.

I managed to make a seamless webm loop, that breaks on mp4, so i use that for personal use, yet i see a few published that at least seem like seamless loops, are there tricks in the wallpaper editor im not aware of, or does a high video framerate hide the seam better

By default webm doesn't support hardware acceleration, that's why it's not allowed on the Workshop. Weak to medium PCs will have unacceptable CPU load otherwise. And we are just not allowed to bundle things like LAV with the download.
