35% GPU usage on GTX 1070

I'm having around 35% GPU usage on almost every wallpaper, I have tried the lowest settings still it's the same. When i select a wallpaper for 1-2 min it stays at 4-5% usage then it suddenly jumps to 33-35%

Any fix?

some here using a gtx 1080, in a video wallpaper the gpu usage still around 45% is a lot of resource for a simple video.

Is your gpu downclocking though? on my Vega card it says 50% usuage sometimes but the core clock is all the way down at 100mhz (so using 50% of 100mhz)

No its always running at 1557mhz

here with wg open the frequency go to 900~1ghz, closing stay in 135 mhz

I have a 1080TI and it uses roughly 50% of my GPU. Kinda weird because a few months ago, it never even passed 10%.

I had this problem too back before I refunded. It was using too much resources, and I was unable to fix it.

I have a 1060 and wallpaper engine currently shutsdown my GPU and there for my monitor :( the funny thing is it worked flawlessly on the biult in POS graphics on the motherboard.

I have 2 water cooled Founders GTX1070 in SLI I am useing a 1080p wallpaper at 60 FPS on 50' TV + I have a small monitor for a 2nd screen my GPU usage is 13% on 1 card and 3% on the other The important thing is temperatures my GPU's are at 34°c whitch is no more than my GPU temperature when it's idle so am very happy with it.

I figured it out, Its based on your wallpaper, If you use some particle heavy wallpaper it will take much more like on mine gt710 it took albomst 100% while I was using monstercat uncaged wallpaper but when I changed it it suddenly went to 10% :)
